Although there appears to be an infinite number of free web templates available at any one time it is highly likely that these templates are all be used many times across the Internet. Those template designs which are very niche specific are rare because nobody really wants to have the same site design as a rival and this is more likely to occur unless you use a more generic design.
A simple and easy way in which to make your web site look different is to use a unique header image. This is usually a photograph at the very top of the page and WordPress has the ability to swap this image in many templates. In many cases changing one picture can make a world of difference.
It is relatively easy to create your own header image. Professionals use applications such as Photoshop but there are plenty of cheaper competitors out there and several shareware/freeware editors which are more than capable. You can also hire somebody to create the image for you and those hired online can cost as little as a few dollars.
